Rooted in the heart of Hereford and deeply connected to the Smalley, Virgo, and Meddins families, my heritage spans Wales, Scotland, and Canada. I'm married to Mike, a lifelong Hereford FC fan who works for Bulmers. Together, we’ve raised our son, Connor, now a Senior Manager with Network Rail in Hereford, and welcomed our wonderful daughter-in-law, Sam, who works for Hereford Council. I’m also lucky to be ‘Nanny Deb’ to three beautiful granddaughters who hold my heart and empty my purse.

After a long and rewarding career in global technology, I made the conscious decision to slow down, reconnect locally, and give back to my community in a more personal way.

In 2022, I overcame a cancer diagnosis. In 2023, I experienced the heartbreaking loss of my 18-year-old nephew to suicide. These defining life moments reshaped my purpose. I knew I wanted to dedicate my time to something that truly matters — supporting others through life’s most meaningful milestones, both joyful and sorrowful.

Now, as a independent family celebrant, I offer bespoke, heartfelt ceremonies for weddings, baby naming, vow renewals, funerals, and memorials. My approach is rooted in empathy, humility, and active listening. I believe every ceremony should reflect your unique story, your values, and your love.
